Question
The theme of ego-centricity in 'Ego Is the Enemy' is highly relevant to contemporary issues in business leadership. Today's business leaders often grapple with the challenge of managing their egos. An ego-centric leader may believe that they are always right, refuse to listen to others, and make decisions based on their own interests rather than the company's. This can lead to a toxic work environment, poor decision-making, and ultimately, business failure. On the other hand, leaders who can manage their egos are more likely to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, make sound decisions, and drive their businesses to success.

When someone is feeling entitled, the need to always be in control, or paranoid, that's often the ego talking. The ego tries to convince someone that they should have something because it is rightfully theirs, that they've earned it, even when there is little evidence that it's true. The ego needs to be in control because it is afraid of any challenge to its "authority." And the ego gets paranoid because it thinks, "I can only trust myself, and anyone who questions me is out to get me."
