The Competing Values Framework (CVF) is a model that identifies four fundamental types of organizational culture: Clan, Adhocracy, Market, and Hierarchy, based on different values. These cultures compete with each other, hence the name. In business, CVF can be applied to understand the existing culture and to guide cultural change. It can help in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of an organization's culture, and in aligning it with the company's strategy and objectives.
