Question

What is the KonMari Method and how does it differ from traditional tidying methods?

The KonMari Method is a system of simplifying and organizing your home by getting rid of physical items that do not bring joy into your life. It was created by cleaning consultant Marie Kondo and described in detail in her best-selling book. The method is different from traditional tidying methods because it advocates for tidying up in one go (which could take up to six months) rather than tidying a bit each day, and for sorting by category, not by location.

This question was asked on:

We all spend time tidying our homes, even though no-one has ever taught us how. And, we all find that, a short time after tidying up, our space has become messy and disorganized again. You may assume it's because you are an inherently lazy or messy person – but the truth is, we are none of us really aware of how we deal with our possessions or of the right way to tidy effectively.
