The Stage-Gate Model is a project management technique in which a project is divided into stages separated by gates. At each gate, the continuation of the process is decided by (typically) a manager or a steering committee. The aim is to improve the speed and quality of execution of the project by breaking it into manageable stages and allowing for the early identification of failure points. It can be used in project management to ensure that only the most valuable and well-developed projects are allowed to pass through to the next stage, thereby reducing the risk of project failure.
