To build a map of the United States in a spreadsheet, you can use the GeoChart feature in Google Sheets or the Map Chart feature in Excel.
In Google Sheets:
1. Enter your data in two columns. The first column should contain state names and the second column should contain the data you want to visualize.
2. Select your data and click on Insert > Chart.
3. In the Chart Editor, select the Chart Type as GeoChart.
In Excel:
1. Enter your data in two columns. The first column should contain state names and the second column should contain the data you want to visualize.
2. Select your data and click on Insert > Maps > Filled Map.
Remember, your data should be accurate and the state names should be spelled correctly for the map to be generated properly.
