What is meant by value proposition in a business model?

A value proposition in a business model refers to the unique value a company offers to its customers. It's the reason why customers turn to one company over another. It solves a customer's problem or satisfies a customer's need. Each value proposition consists of a selected bundle of products and/or services that caters to the requirements of a specific customer segment.
