Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple Inc., was diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer called pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor in 2003. Unlike the more common form of pancreatic cancer, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, Jobs' type of cancer grows slowly and patients can live longer.
