Upon receiving a suspicious invoice, one should not click on any links or buttons within the email. Instead, log into your account directly from the official website to check for any outstanding invoices. If the invoice does not appear there, it is likely fraudulent. Report the suspicious email to the company it appears to be from. Do not provide any personal or financial information until you have confirmed the legitimacy of the invoice.

Sometimes these invoices request cash, or sometimes crypto, but they usually all have some form of "here's your invoice" or "invoice updated" with a button to say "view and pay invoice."
